However, my butthair and other pubes stay. I don't know how common having hair on your penis is, as I haven't seen many dicks up close (though I presume it's very unusual). I need to pluck it every week or so that my hairs don't get stuck on condoms and other things.

Also, how on earth do you guys shave your asshole? You can't see yourself back there. Do you have to get someone else to do it?

I shave my pubes and chest every 3 or 4 days. My ass I do every 2-3 weeks. It's really easy to do with a buzzer. I use a razor for everything except that. Sometimes I'll shave my asshole too, but it's kinda annoying going through all the contortions. I've shaved all my pubes off a couple of times, but I didn't like how it looked (though the actual shaving made me horny as hell). After a couple of days it also itched constantly.

By the way, what the HELL is with straight guys who shave their pubes??? You used to be able to tell who was gay at the gym just by looking at their crotch as they changed.
