Posting an embedded YouTube video in a post is simplicity itself thanks to the YouTube ‘tags’ that are available when you are creating your post.
The only information you need is the combination of letters and numbers which identifies the video itself.
There are 3 ways of finding these numbers.
From a link, they are at the end after the ‘=’ sign.
Ie. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hx6LdLJOwkc
From a video already embedded in a post.
At the bottom right hand corner of the video player, click ‘share’ and a new window will open. In the address bar is the link and the identity of the video
Ie. http://www.youtube.com/share?v=hx6LdLJOwkc&embed=1
Finally, if you are already on YouTube, the identity can be found in the address bar and to the right hand side of the screen (circled in red on the screencap below).
Now you’ve got the information you need, here we go.
When composing your message, ensure that you are in ‘Advanced Mode’ (this is the mode where you can see the smilies and post icons).
Write what you need to in your postsand when you need to insert your video, click on the YouTube icon (the red arrow points to it in the screencap below)
This will insert the following ‘tags’ [youtube][/youtube].
Simply type in the identity (or cut and paste it in) between the [youtube]hx6LdLJOwkc[/youtube]
