In my opinion there are five types of stereotypical gay people
-Sissy boys, as mentioned in this thread, the high pitched voice with a lilting twist, and feminine looks/behaviors; fashion experts

-Intellectual gays; the type that are often cynical/sarcastic, a tendancy to be arrogant, and otherwise engage in intelligent conversations and politics

-Studs, which are a bit of a turn-off to me, but they are those big, hairy-chested guys with muscles and beards, often just oozing masculinity

-what I like to call Muffins, the emotional guys that enjoy being gay, having social lives, and generally just get a high on every aspect of being a homosexual

-Gym bunnies; the toy boys, one-nighters, and cruisers that live for sex/porn and are always so fussy about their looks and bodies

Me? I'm more of an intellectual, but I could be a sissy boy if I wanted to.:D

Yeah, that's why they're stereotypical. Most stereotypes have some root in truth though, and on TV (both real and fiction) and out in public I tend to see those 5 the most.

Sometimes when im out in public and I see one of these 'sissy boys' acting out loud and being so gay, it hurts to look at them. I feel like I want to just go over, smack them, and say "Behave yourself!!" even though im not out and that would probably look weird.

Ugh. The stereotypical "sissy boys" annoy me to no end. I would never date one, they'd get on my nerves too much.

I'd say I fall into the second category.

They have a right to be happy and be alive. No one smacks you and tells you to behave for just being you.
