I did it, told the only one i trust

You are fortunate to have such a loving brother.........good for you both.........

family usually knows and there's usually that one person you can always trust. I told my best friend before I told my sister because honestly I trusted my friend more than I trusted my sister. Now, after talking with my sister I trust her a lot more than I used to.

i just worked up the courage to tell my brother, he was in my room playing video games and i just blurted it out

i just hate being depressed about everyone else saying horrid things about the gay community and sadly saying the same things. so big thanks to jub and everyone who has the courage to stand up for themselves and even those who dont
Congrats. It will get easier over time. And you'll feel better about yourself as you tell more & more people. Not everyone will be all happy & smiley about it, but you'll have a huge weight off your shoulders. You may or may not lose family & friends. People will surprise you (some in a good way, some in a bad way). You never know.

my sister asked the same exact question. you're braver than me though. i didn't tell her, she came over to me and my partners apt. (i invited her and her daughter/my niece to see my new dog billie) and i forgot i had a pic of my and my bf hugging on the beach. she picked it up and said "what is this?" i was STUNNED!! she didn't say much else for awhile, til 5 minutes later when she asked "is this how you wanna live your life?"

she looked like she wanted to cry that day, but has since warmed up. the other day when we were coming back from atlanta, she pointed out someone walking past at a gas station and asked "what do you think?" he had an uber-feminine walk and she was playfully asking if i thought he was gay. things are cool now.
Hey, that's great. Congrats. You were accidentally outed by yourself (:D) but it worked out for the best.
