Well I hope I don't tell you a secret when I tell you that shemales are usually men. Hormones + Boob jobs make them look like girls though.

yeah but its stems deeper than that I think, I don't personally have any friends that are she-males or are transgendered or transsexual, or suffer from gender disphoria, I do get hit on ALOT by them, but yeah, boobs are gross, so its all man or nothing at all. I think these 'she-males', whatever you want to call them, feel that they were girls born into a guys body, or that's what gender disphoria is, or sometimes the other way around and feel they were guys born into a womans body, they say that they realize this very early in life, very much similar to how we realize were attracted to the same sex at a young age. and so to 'fix' it, they can get sex change operations so they can be physically what they feel they are mentally. I've seen this is on oprah, tyra, all kinds of talk shows, about teens dealing with it and the acceptance issues of friends, family, school mates. its serious,if you think you're born the wrong sex, its gender disphoria, I forget the actual definition of a transsexual and a transgendered person, because there's a difference, and I don't want to offend because of lack of knowledge, anyone out there an expert in this particular subject and would care to enlighten us?......

for instance, a famous transgendered celebrity would be Alexis Arquette, who is the older sibling of david and patricia. he was born a dude, felt that he was really a 'she', and has taken hormones and stuff, I think he/she stil has a dick though, but could get the sex change where they actually cut and mold the penis into a vagina, and its irreversible I believe. for girls that believe they're really a guy, they mold the clitoris and labia or something like that into a penis and is irreversible, and they get their mammary tissue, I forget the term removed so they end up having a flat chest. there's a movie called Boys Don't Cry based on the story of Tina Brandon/ Brandon Teena, a real life person that dealt with the struggles and hardships a gender disphoric person feels, played by Hilary Swank watch it, its really good

They're men who've got through or are going through a sex change, either by hormones, surgery, or both.

A transvestite is like a cross dresser. Just men who dress in drag but haven't taken hormone therapy or anything to make them more feminine.

I wonder how many shemales might open this thread and find that they are no more accepted by gays then they are by str8s. Everyone wants to be loved and accepted. I guess if a shemale can find some level of happiness by having an operation or wearing clothes of the opposite sex then we should let them. We might not get them but we don't have to degrade and reject them. Just a thought.
