Is it me or with the new Snow Leopard, the new version of Quicktime allows less functionalities than the previous version? I used to have different options to export (Command E) and now I can only export in format for iTunes or iPHones. I used to be able to also see different options to customize the videos (brightness, color, sound etc). I was using Quicktime PRO but now no option to PRO-itize the software. Uhm.

i agree, and i think the interface is pretty wacky, you can lose windows easily if you have a dark movie on top of another dark movie--no way to see it without the title bar--they need a consistent UI and should bring back the title bar!

the only good thing is that recording with qt x vs qt 7 pro using the built in isight on a macbook seems to heat up the computer much, much less---it used to make the fans spin up a lot

I wish I had kept QT7 too, they have crippled QTx compared to it. Why do they take a good thing and make it worse then try and dress it up as an improvement? Were people able to do things with QT7 that Apple didn't want them to?

I have QT7 and QT X. QT7 is now located in the Utilities folder, whereas QT X is located in Applications folder.

NO KIDDING! I thought I could only have one Quicktime version installed! Like Microsoft Explorer for PC you know! I should have known Apple is more brilliant than that! haha

If you have QT Pro and install SL as an upgrade, QT7 will be installed in the Utilities folder automatically. If you don't have it, or you did a clean install, you can install QT7 from the "Additional Software" Installer on the SL disk.

Oh wow, thanks guys just found QT7 all proed up and nestling quietly in the corner of my utilities folder. Add it to the missing manual of osx!

Thanks guys. Who would have thought to look in the utilities folder:confused:
I have the pro version and I like it other than doing fine editing.
