As a confused teen/young adult I would have appreciated this site; it's is amazing IMHO even though I'm a long way from "a teen." I heard about it on NPR News this morning.

Maybe some Anti Virus progams block it, mine didn't and yours apparently didn't either. Better safe than sorry, though. As I said in my post I heard a story about the site on the national news of NPR.

I also have the 'NoScript' browser addon which will by default prevent any java/scripts/flash/video/etc (basically the stuff that can be used for exploits) from running - unless I specifically allow the site...
So if there is anything 'bad' on that site, it'd be blocked before my antivirus ever saw it
(with some sites if you block the bad stuff, the site won't load at all leaving just a blank page.)

Some brands of anti-virus software can be a little "over zealous" at times
I use Microsoft Defender, with no filters
