I really like Lady GaGa's music, buuuuut

I just wish that to go with her extreme persona, she had the goods to back it up. Hell the girl can sing, belt even, but her music isn't in the slightest representative of her individuality nor her image. I mean come on, Akon's productions? Hardly one of the best producers the world has seen. It's all very gimmicky, contrived almost.

That's a bit dramatic; imho.

This is exactly what I think about her.

She goes on and on about her art and how music is a form of art for her etc. but she essentially just prances around in her underwear and sings about sex. Thats what pretty much every female popstar around at the moment does. Musically she's not much different to a pussycat doll.

Its a shame because she's talented.

plus, don't forget, she's got that huge-ass cock!*|*

"Lady Gaga" is entirely a character that's a parody of fame, excess, and is an homage to the drag queens in the Manhattan gay club scene.

She's SUPPOSED to be this European, eccentric and conceited person, but Stefani Germanotta is still girly and softy, as evidenced here:

Awwwww!!

Yes! I was at this exact concert - this was her first tour, a year and a half ago. This was an amazing moment to witness in person - it showed how human she really was! This was at a venue of well under 1000

I was also at the more recent Monster Ball Tour back in November, and while it was amazing, it most definitely wasn't as "personal", especially being in a huge 20,000+ seat arena.

I'm thinking perhaps she had no idea it would all take off like it did, and now she's struggling to maintain the bazaar persona.
That's the dilemma one must face when one creates an alter ego.

We all invent ourselves to some degree, but most of us observe the margins of sanity.

How do we know when we've gone too far?

Consider The case of Dwayne (The Rock) Johnson. When his film career began to take off he was known as 'The Rock' then after a few pictures he became 'Dwayne (The Rock) Johnson' and now in his most recent movies he's morphed into just plain 'Dwayne Johnson.'

At some point Lady GaGa will have to face her demons and mature into an adult as well. Bless her heart.

Lady Dada?-->Lady Mommy?-->Lady Green Eggs & Ham?-->?

Just a thought.

How is she an artist?
Sorry but she sings very bland pop dance music that has been done better by others. Walking through an airport with coke cans in your wig does not an artist make. She is mearly ripping off others that have walked before her, Grace Jones etc. And that telephone video? lol, I thought it was an ugly drag queen doing Madonna when I first saw it. I'm so sick of hearing how she is the 2nd coming. I mean shouldnt we wait untill her 2nd cd comes out before we crown her the queen of anything?

She sings, she dances, she writes music, she plays an instrument, and she has her own fashion sense. It does not matter what kind of music she creates, the level of music she creates, but she is an artist. While I agree that some are fanatical about her, and what artist does not have his or her fanatics, she does offer something different in today's Pop Music World. Retract your claws, Jayden, or at least have them clipped.:D

She is an incredible artist. Whose music has nothing bland about it and whose music is not comparable to any other pop artist. She is the queen of weird. And that's whats so amazing about her. The other fact is that Gaga is one of the few pop artists in this day and age who can actually sing without her auto tune. Both with and without her autotune, with her dance numbers and her slower songs, GAGA IS THE QUEEN!!!!!

u all have your opinions of lady gaga, most of which i don't agree with. watch her showstudio interview! love this girl!

Good lord. She makes pop/dance music. She hasnt found a cure for cancer. Lets wait until she comes out with new music before we crown her anything.

I mean shes no Jan Terri.

The big problem is people care too much what these artist have to say. I really really liked Fame Monster. But do I care what her views are? No. Do I watch her interviews? No. Who cares? Let the music speak.

So does every artist out there right a song to their dad as a plea for him to get surgery done on his heart?

Not exactly.
Not every artist.
Some do_____I suppose.
But I wager it's a disproportionate number if you consider all the artists out there.

One thing is certain, she has it! Whatever it is.
