It sucks that you lost a friend because of this. Sadly, it's commonly what happens in these situations. Just remember that while you had the choice to stay or leave, she also had the choice. You both did the deed, now you must both deal with the consequences.

Sex ruins everything with friends, from personal experience. Even if you did nothing wrong, she might not get over her feelings and that is just not good for a friendship for obvious reasons.

It sucks that your friendship with her ended, but you are not responsible for it.

Hey MasterCom,

I'm sorry for the loss of your friend. I know it won't be easy, but you need to not be so hard on yourself. You shouldn't have to take sole responsibility of what happened. Like you said, she was enjoying and couldn't get enough. She could have said no too. Chalk this up to a life experience and learn from it. But don't blame yourself.

I understand how you feel. I lost a real good friend because she wanted to see her boyfriend make out with me and that lead to all of us being involved and carrying on. The next morning she said that I had seduced him and ruined her relationship and we haven't seen eaach other or spoken since...But I have never felt bad about it because she wanted it all to happen. People just have to me more careful about the decisions they make, especially when it comes to sex.

People have strange ways of dealing with what happened and the reality they want to create following the incident. Not everyone wants to be responsible for mistakes he/she made. Blaming you for runing her life is just a convenient way for her to avoid being responsible. You are not the only one responsible for it... they both were equally as responsible as you.

This is why I don't have sex with close friends that I know for a fact that I don't want to have a relationship with. [-X

ok sex issue aside, how good of a friend is she? and not counting the way shes acting now is she as a friend worth the effort chasing?
if she is give her a few days to calm down and give her a ring or go round to see her, if you're good enough friends you should be able to talk things out and get things sorted.
its a bit weird though as you're not to blame, she probable feels scared and looks to you as a friend to guide her away from situations like this?
will be soft ground for a while, but give her some time and things should be ok :)

I agree. Both of you had a choice; it's as much her fault as yours, if it even is yours at all.

However, now that it's broken I'm not sure how you can fix it, and that really really does suck. Hang in there.

That's sad that she doesn't want to be your friend anymore. Are you gonna try to fix it or leave it alone? ...
