ok well....this is kind of embarassing but after i take a sh*t someitmes and wipe myself i see little dabs of blood on the toilet paper ITS NOT wet blood or even droplets of blood its just little dabs/speckles of blood..

at first i thought that the area was just a bit dry and that the sh*t was causing abrasions?

so i would keep the area moisturized and even after moisturizing sometimes i still see blood on the toilet paper..

sometimes when i take a shower and wash the area it stings a little bit (like a cut would sting )

does anyone know what it is? i did some research online and read that it might be some kind of hemmerhoid?

i looked at my asshole in the mirror (lol) and it looked very normal . i didnt see any hemerhoid whatsoeve..

i know can see the exact spot where the skin looks a bit irritated but nothing really looks weird about it it just looks irritated and pinkish...

HELP i dont know what this is and it makes me self conscious because everytime guys want to rim me im scared that its not safe for me...(or them) i also am paranoid about them fingering me because im worried that their precum might get on that irritation and make me more susceptible to std

HELP!

Alot of wiping especially with rough paper will cause some bleeding. No big deal. It will pass eventually.

Buy a softer brand of toilet paper. Dry skin during the winter doesn't help either. Just go easy on that area for a few days and it will heal up.

i dont think thats the problem though. because i tried just like dabbing the area right after i take a shit instead of wiping it and even while gentley dabbing somtimes i can see blood on the tissue (always very minimal though almost like two or three speckles)

could it be some kind of hemmerhoid?

It could be several things. You mentioned hemorrhoids and it could be that. There are hemorrhoids that are at the surface and some that are more interior to your anal hole. Symptoms can be blood streaks on the toilet paper or itching.

It could also be a small tear in the inner area of the anal opening or on the muscle itself. To be sure, you should probably see a doctor. If it is a tear or fissure, then you may have to have stool softening drugs and apply other medication.

Contrary to many rumors, anal sex is not a cause for hemorrhoids; however, it can irritate an already existing condition.

You are right that if there is blood, there is a better and more likely way to transmit STI's. You could also develop other infection on your own.

why do i have a tear it might be a fissure as u say...how did i acquire such a thing?
and hjow come other people dont have it?

arent hemeroids visible to the eye? i googled it and its quite grotesque looking and i have nothing like that on my anus..

No, hemorrhoids can be internal or external CaliSurfBoy. They are enlargement of a vein and there are veins both the inside and outside.

The usual guideline is that if the blood is bright red, it is coming from near to your anus- usually a hemorrhoid.

If the blood is dark red, black or like tar, then it is coming from much higher.

If this is something that has lasted for a while, you should see your doctor and have it checked.

its bright red and its very "dry" blood if that makes sense. almost like if u were dabbing lipstick off of someones lips. its not gushing or wet at all..

so hemorrhoid is just an enlargement of a vein? is it visible to the eye? because i looked in the mirror and nothing looked abnormal ...

as for seeing a doctor.wht kind of doctor specializes in this kind of stuff?

Be careful where you wave that! Powerful imagery :P

Try getting some more fibre into your diet, and taking warm baths. This helped me.

This is referred to as "spotting" and it is typical of a hemorrhoid.

Yes.

They can be visible to the eye. They appear to be small fingerlike projections, sometimes red and sometimes with a slightly blue-ish color. The problem is that if it is on the inside, you would only be able to see it if you could see inside.

You can see a general practitioner or a nurse practitioner. They are used to seeing this all the time. They will evaluate the problem and determine if you need a referral to a specialist.

The Tucks pads that were recommended are good. There are also ointments and suppositories like Nupercainal, Anusol HC or Preparation H are things you can buy at the pharmacy to try.

The important thing is that if this persists and does not get better with the pharmacy items, then you need to see your doctor.

but if it were INSIDE i wouldnt be able to "dab" it with the toilet paper?

the problem now is i dont hav insurance :(

Your colon is quite adept at moving things inside to the outside. Gravity will take care of the rest. Think of it this way- you have a nosebleed on the inside of your nose but the blood still manages to find its way out onto the tissue even though you can't see where the bleeding is.

Your doctor will probably treat this medically at first. But he/she will take an extensive history and will give you an opinion on what to do.

You're going to have to pay for the office visit. How much is peace of mind worth to you?

Here's sometihng that most people don't realize- doctors would rather have your cash than to bill your insurance company. If you call ahead and talk to the doctor's insurance person and tell them you don't have insurance but will pay cash, they will often be willing to give you a "cash rate".

Your other option is to go to a teaching hospital and be seen in the clinic. You may qualify for Medicaid (or in your state, Medi-Cal) or a sliding scale payment plan.

You might also check to see if there is a gay men's clinic in your area. I know from the one in DC that if you don't have insurance, they will treat you and the city subsidizes the treatments. If you can afford to pay, they ask for a contribution.

But either way, I think the peace of mind in knowing what is the problem will help. Getting an early treatment on a hemorrhoid can avoid further aggravation of the vein and problems later.

Start using Baby wipes!

Bright Red Blood is fresh blood and should not be a problem.

Dark is a sign of a more serious upper Gi problem.

I would still get it checked for a piece of mind, but if you dont want to then to try to eliminte the possible cause and see if it still happens;

If you are constipated, eat more fiber or use a stool softner.
If it is from wiping, start using baby wipes they are great, clean, smell nice.

If still happening, think hemorrhoids.
Ciao,
M.
