OK, I've been hearing this rock song from the late 70's-early 80's on the radio, and I hear it every once in a while, but whenever they play it, they NEVER say who it's by or what it's called. The only part that i know is the first part of the chorus which goes:

"Tooooooo-night, everything will be alri-ight" :(

And the guitar riff at the beginning is very familiar sounding. I don't know if it's an American or Canadian band, but I'm DYING to know what it's called and who it's by because it's been bothering me, literately, for YEARS.

I've searched for the song, the lyrics, EVERYTHING. and no luck :grrr:
 
I'm gonna need more. Sorry. All I can think of is David Bowie's "Tonight" but that doesn't get played on the radio much.

And that's the song that I keep on getting when I search for the lyrics :(

I wish I knew more of the lyrics, but I don't. I hope I hear it on the radio soon. :(
 
Kenna's "Freetime" has those lines in it a lot, too.

You sure about that one line? It's not "Everything's GONNA be all right" or "Everything will be JUST FINE" or anything? Just thought I'd check.

What he said....is it the Rod Stewart song, "Tonight's the night....gonna be all right".

Kool and the Gang also had a song, "Tonight", although the rhyming line was "you'll see the light".

I'm guessing it's not Rod Stewart. The time period is right, but:

1. I wouldn't call it "rock", really.
2. There's not much guitar work in it.
3. Most people would be able to recognize Rod Stewart's voice immediately.
