Iggy is so raw! i was last year in his gig!it was amazing!
i wish i could see him when he was young,but at least i saw him now!

Um, wow. I started a thread -- last year? earlier this year? -- trying to see if there was anyone into Lou Reed. The thread died an ignominious death after a couple of posts by me. I bumped it a couple of times after that, as I recall, but no-one responded.

So I'm glad to see this appear.

There have been a couple of threads related to Bowie that I recall seeing on the boards some time back. I don't recall seeing anything about Iggy before though.

Iggy is definitely the son. His reckless abandon on stage brings to mind the prodigal son even. But may I suggest that Lou Reed is closest to the father as his extraordinary work with the Velvet Underground (the godfather of them all) predates and inspired the others. David Bowie is naturally the holy spirit because of his ethereal beauty in both voice and appearance--he makes it all seem so effortless. Hallelujah!

Also, I nominate Bolan as the archangel Marc. Amen!

Throughout these last few years my music tastes have mainly revolved round the unholy 3, perhaps more so with David Bowie. My favourite bowie song is Sweet thing and my Lou reed favourite would be.... All Tomorrow's Parties and maybe Heroin. So far my fave iggy song is gimme danger.

I like all three of these artist but especially Lou Reed - I first heard "Transformer" in my late teens, and instantly fell in love with the album and the picture sleeve (especially the one on the back)

My favourite Iggy tunes are "The Passenger" and "Lust for Life"

Bowie is an icon, but I can live without his studio albums, I just have a "Hits" compilation and would say that "Ashes To Ashes" is my favourite track.
