Back to Creepy Old Fart
My father died many, many years ago when I was an infant, so never knew him.
When he died unexpectedly, he was the Head of the Payroll department of a now defunct airline. There were less than 1300 employees then, so it was a pretty tight-knit bunch.
The company lasted another 22 years after he died and the employees scattered.
Now, with the advent of the Internet, I've managed to locate some of his co-workers. I've sent in some information and within the next couple of weeks my Father will get his very own memorial web page on the site; it seems to be fairly popular, too.
I've also been invited to a reunion picnic this coming summer, where I hope to finally meet some people outside of the immediate family who knew him.
(If anyone wants to see the memorial page, zip me a PM and I will PM you the URL once it is done. Should be interesting!)
