HIV wont show up for a number of weeks or months. Get regular testing now. Don't think about leave it. It may be a low risk but thats not no risk. Also if you could taste blood not a good sign.

I hope this is a lesson learned. Was that (most likely nasty) blow job worth the worry, and possible infections and illnesses. Nope.

He could have had an STD or a UTI. Blood in the semen is a symptom of both of those.

Get tested for sure, but take comfort knowing it is almost impossible to get an STD that way. Unless you have huge gashes in your mouth or throat, there is no way for his blood or semen to enter your blood stream. Everything will eventually go down your stomach where the acid will kill anything. Even still, get tested because there is never an excuse not to.

If you're having sex with strangers, it's a good idea to get into a regular STD testing routine.

Since this encounter seems to have you more worried, go have STD screening after the holiday. As for the full screen not just an HIV test.

Wait a few weeks and get tested, its very difficult to get HIV through the method you described, but it'll help your mind rest if you got tested. And if possible, don't have random sex with strangers, it's the downfall of the gay community.

You really should have asked that dude if he knew of any pre-existing problems after the fact. Have you felt any unusual sensations in your mouth or throat? And I would stay away from random sex for awhile.

Oral sex has a statistically lower chance of getting HIV, but the risk is still there. There are tiny, microscopic cuts in your mouth, so the virus can theoretically get transmitted. However, the chances are astronomically small.

Symptoms cannot determine if you have HIV, so don't bug yourself.

Like what others have said, let this be a major lesson for you. We often get caught in the heat of the moment, but we must train our minds to think safety first.

Well that's not much to worry about ... it was smart of you to spit it all back and rince off your mouth with water .
