ok, so Safari went FUBAR and has to be reinstalled, i have to use IE to do it but it wont let me! :(

everything I try to download comes back to me with

"your security settings do not allow this file to be downloaded"

anyone got any suggestions?!

its driving me nuts because IE just messes with everything! not even JUB is working properly right now

I am a PC on windows vista

thanks

I don't have problems with Firefox. IE, Opera, Safari and other browsers have all given me problems of one sort or another. I recently tried Maxthon and wound up with 2 trojans and a bunch of spyware that took me 6 hours to get rid of. So I recommend Firefox!

the problem was me being very very dumb lol

I stopped using IE aaaaaages ago, I use safari but for some reason my PC had a funny moment and safari stopped working, all I had was IE.

I tried to use it to download safari again and everything I tried didnt work.....I think the IE default settings had been activated when I tried unsuccessfully to uninstall a few months ago

was just a case of going through and enableing everything.

I am not an overly technical person, its usually something simple, it was just driving me to distraction and I couldn't think how to fix it for a little while, suddenly realized I was being a lemon and with a little prodding and suggestions from someone else I figured it out :)

Safari on a PC? For shame. Dump the shitty Safari software, go for FireFox. It will fix all your problems and be a god send to you. Best web browser available.

I tried firefox on my last laptop and nothing seemed to work properly, so when that laptop 'passed away' and I got a new one I went for Safari instead, never really had a problem with is until a few days ago, but I think that was a laptop problem
