Since I became a huge Sweeney Todd fan I've been trying to find more Sondheim work to see. Yesterday I checked out a copy of the OBC DVD. I loved it, such a cool story and full of great performances, and on the shallow end of the pool I must say Jack was hot.
 
I've always loved that one and have it on DVD. Bernadette Peters is amazing!!
 
I've just recently got it on DVD too although I first saw it on tv several years ago. I also love the Original London Cast recording but not the last Broadway cast recording.
 
What don't you like about the second act? I myself enjoyed it very much.

Haha I prefer the second act, when everything goes to hell. Not too crazy about 'No More' though. Actually, after the witch disappears, some energy is gone.
 
I saw Into The Woods on tour in the USA in 1990. My second favorite song from that show was Last Midnight where the Witch reads everybody the riot act. I also liked the Baker's Wife singing Moments In The Woods. My favorite song was Children Will Listen and I wish Stephen Sondheim had made it a complete song instead of a fragment. Oh well...
