Is 4 GB ram still enough for today?

on a laptop, more ram can be a disadvantage, if you don't need it.

more ram will drain the battery faster and shorten your time away from an outlet.

4gb is plenty for most people. I'd only add ram if you're doig something that can use it.
 
If you think that's crazy, [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vS2AkXYrEVs&feature=related"]this guy[/ame] has TWENTY FOUR GIGS of RAM. He can load 16 GB of digital samples in real-time. . .which is probably something you'll NEVER have to do.

4 GB is a pretty middle-of-the-road system for today. That and a dual processor will be completely fine for most processes.
 
Well I use my notebook mainly for gaming, listening to music on Windows Media Player, watching YouTube, browsing websites. I thought since I play games like Crysis 2having more than 4GB of ram would help. I also play StarCraft 2 and The Sims 3. Do you guys think 4GB is enough for me?
