So I just found out that NCIS is getting a spin off (not the exciting part for me) AND it looks like Chris O'Donnell and L. L. Cool J are lining up to be the leads.

OK LL Cool J is a sexy man beast. He's just built beyond any reasonable expectation yet he doesn't go into that overbeefed up b******lder zone.... he manages to find that perfect balance inbetween. I mean every picture I see of the man old or new the definition of his abs are just fucking insane. And granted "Deep Blue Sea" was not the most moving performance but when I'm looking at an NCIS spin off than I'm thinking guilty pleasure anyway so why would I care?

And I love Chris O'Donnell; I've always kinda wish he'd made it bigger than he did. He's so damn cute and he just has this tendency to pop up for a little while and then fade into the background so I'm definitely an advocate of weekly doses.

I mean I know it's a really odd combination to get excited over but when I saw that they were both planning to be in it it was just kinda like... Yum

Well, it's bound to be better than the upcoming "Gossip Girl" spin off...

i'm actually more interested in the GG spinoff than i ever was of the original...not jumping out my seat waiting for it, but interested.

as for the NCIS spinoff...
well i've never watched the original, but L.L.'s definately got me interested in checking the spinoff.

NCIS is nothing too remarkable, though far better than JAG which it spun off of. It's just another crime drama but they've managed to give it some fairly unoriginal yet nonetheless engaging characters so it goes in my nothing else is on/1 AM crime drama spot. Also Michael Weatherly is cute so that doesn't hurt.

More or less with the whole syndicated hour long crime dramas for me it's like so:
1. Law & Order SVU- Watchable for story and character
2. Law & Order- Watchable for story
3.(tie) Bones- Watchable for my odd affection for Bones and
Boothe.
3.(tie) NCIS- Watchable for quirky characters
5. Criminal Minds- Watchable for Shemare Moore
6. CSI: NY- Watchable for OK plots, OK characters, diverse yet
satisfying eye candy (Hill Harper is so underappreciated)
7.(tie) Without A Trace- Watchable because I already know how
all the Law and Order episodes end
7.(tie) Cold Case- Watchable for good use of retro music
7.(tie) CSI- Watchable for homoerotic undertones with Nick and
Greg, imagined or otherwise.

AND THEN
CSI:Miami- Watchable for torture

i absolutely LIVE for CSI NY...for obvious reasons. but the show itself has always been enjoyable for me. i've only seen a handful of CSI episodes, but i have enjoyed what i've seen. tried to get into 'Miami, but David Caruso just creeps me the hell out. more so than any of the mangled corpses i've seen in the other shows.

haven't watched Bones since the 1st season and i have no idea why. enjoyed the show, and David B's hotness speaks for itself. i dunno, i just stopped watching. have been catching up with the occasion rerun on TNT.

did you watch Third Watch? i didn't really bother with it when it was on the air, but i've come to really appreciate the show from reruns on A&E. very underrated.

L&O: SVU is pretty decent, but i think my enjoyment of that show is more about Mr. Meloni;) they've had some pretty decent shows, but like you said they're just so predictable.

I couldn't agree with you more falconfan! Glad to see our male appreciation tastes are converging again. LOL. LL Cool J is -- quite right -- a sex beast! The man looks amazing for his age and there isn't a picture/video of him that doesn't make me think dirty thoughts.

The only thing that would make this better is if LL Cool J's character was topping Chris O'Donnell.

Converging? When did they ever diverge? And hell drop the word character out of your last sentence. I see no reason why LL and Chris need to create false pretenses ;)

I never got into Third Watch never even really watched it. As far as Meloni, he's just my type. I watch for Olivia, by far the best character in the whole Law & Order franchise.

agreed on Olivia. episodes without her were just....akward. you really should try and give Third Watch a good chance. some of the characters on that show are among my all time favorites. especially Tia Texada's Maritza Cruz.

I want to note this should say "not my type" I'm sure you could figure that out from context but anyway

Yeah let's just pretend the female voice in LL's "Doin It" is actually Chris O'Donnell.

If we're pretending than there's a whole slew of other things I'd much rather pretend with those two ;P
