Is it bad that I can "hear" when I piss?

This is something I've noticed lately, that after I piss (like a minute after sometimes) if I haven't flushed I can hear it in the toilet. It's like a sizzling noise. Or like the noise of pop after it is poured into a glass. I've never asked anyone else about this and it's embarrassing to ask, but is it bad that it's that loud? It's also had a weird color at times, and in the morning especially the smell is EXTREMELY bad. I shower everyday and that shouldn't be a problem. ???

If you haven't had a physical in a while, it's a good time to have a urinalysis and some blood work.

The symptoms you describe are non-specific, that is they don't really point to a particular problem. But the lab work will help rule out common issues like a urinary tract infection.

though it was short lived I had a similar experience, it turned out I was just very dehydrated because I never drank water.

Now I'm a fiend for it, but back then was a different story. How much water do you drink?

And I would agree that you should probably get checked out if it's been a while, I don't think that's particularly normal though is probably quite easily treatable.

Yeah, if you get a beer-head in the toilet in the mornings, you are usually not getting enough water. I used to have that problem, but an extra 2 glasses a day fixed it.

Still, if in doubt, go have it checked just to be safe.

It's probably just your urine chemically reacting to residual toilet bowl cleaner. Not too different than mixing baking soda with vinegar.

Everyone's piss does that. It makes foam when it hits the water. The fizz sound is bubbles popping. Maybe your toilet is just echo-y so it's loud.

Everyone's piss is more concentrated in the morning, because you don't drink water when you sleep so your body absorbs more water. It's more yellow, smells more, and foams up more. That's why doctors ask for your first piss in the morning to do urine tests, because it's more concentrated. If it's really dark, really smelly, or reddish like there's blood in it, see a doctor. But sounds like you are just paranoid. Drink more water.
