I'm not sure what it is this year, but I'm exhausted. I'm ready for the year to be over with and the kids to be on break. I don't know if it's the kids or if it's me. I know part of the problem is the looming bankruptcy hearing -I go to court on the 21st of the month to have this thing done and over with. Keep your fingers crossed that the judge will take pity and discharge my student loans.
I think another thing that's bugging me is the ability level of the 7th graders. They are extremely low and I'm spending most of the time attempting to pull them up to a decent level rather than teaching my curriculum.
My practicum is also taking more time and energy than I expected. I just don't seem to have the time to do everything in the day.
Things that are going right... I'm finally starting to get my finances back in order! Pride High, the comic I helped develop, has published its first issue and the second issue is coming soon. My recent visit to the doctor went fairly well. I gained a couple of pounds (much needed!) and the diabetes seems to be doing fairly well. Some new neighbors moved in next door and we get along well. Our dogs love playing together!
Okay, I'm done ranting for the night. Need to get back to grading some tests.
