Is there anyways I can brighten up my computer screen,because its really dark.

I mean the computer is used and I dont know the password to change it that way where you turn off the computer and hit f2 or f12,so I cant change it that way. Is there any other way I can brighten up my computer screen?

do you not have adjustment controls directly on your monitor? you usually cant change the computers brightness from your computer, it has to be changed directly on the monitor.

If adjusting the settings on your monitor doesn't work, you may have to adjust your gamma settings. The utility to do this in Windows is usually in the display properties dialog. If you do not have gamma settings in your display properties, you may need to download and install the driver and/or configuration utility provided by the manufacturer of your display adapter instead of using the Windows provided driver.

As B;ackwolf said - a PC screen brightness is usually only adjustable by fiddling with the controls on the front. A laptop obviously is different and has controls on the keyboard.

I feel like such a clutz but,could you please elaborate?

I dont know if this helps but,whenever I plug out my power cord my computer screen gets brighter,I just thought you should know this.

ps: I left my computer alone to go shower and when I come back my cat is on top of the key board and the screen is darker.Thats exactly why I hate pussy
