Is this a symptom of anything?

I think there's something weird going on with me. Back in November, I set my temperature at 68F (20C) for comfort. For the past month or so, that temperature felt too hot for me. I was sweating in bed at night. So, I turned it down to 65F (18C).

Earlier this week, 65 started feeling a little warm. So, I turned it down to 64F (17C). Yesterday, that still seemed a bit warm. So, I set it down to 63.

You know how in the morning if you get out from under your blanket it feels cold? The weird thing is when I get out of bed early in the morning naked (yes, I sleep naked), I feel fine at 63. Don't even feel cold as I walk around doing my morning stuff naked.

Right now I'm just sitting here watching tv and browsing on my laptop wearing shorts and tank top. Temperature is 63.

Just putting this out there if this is a symptom of something I'm not aware of?

I feel fine. I go about my daily life just fine. Go to the gym every day and have not felt anything strange like loss of strength or something like that. I'm not feeling anything out of the ordinary.

PS - Last night felt a little warm in bed for my comfort. I think I will turn it down to 62 tonight.

If you haven't had a physical lately, you should set up a call with your doctor and discuss it. He will want to do some screening labs. Since the onset sounds like it was quick, it is less likely to be a chronic condition but I would still recommend checking in with your primary care provider.

Assuming that you're not running a fever and you don't have an infection, the other question that a doctor would probably ask is whether you're taking any supplements that contain niacin, capsaicin or a "metabolic booster". Quite a few of the gym supplements contain stimulants and other substances that are advertised as workout enhancers. Several of these substances can make you feel very warm- niacin (vitamin B3) is notorious for causing a warm flush; capsaicin is the substance in hot peppers that triggers the feeling of heat.

^ Had my annual checkup and bloodwork last month in December. Everything is perfectomundo. I forgot to bring this up to my doctor, who coincidentally is another gay dude.

I am not taking any supplement for my workout. I am trying to gain muscle mass the natural way. In fact, currently I am not even taking whey protein. I do workout quite a bit, though. 6 out of 7 days.

Edit.

No, not running a fever. Not having the cold sweats or anything like that. For some reason, my comfort room temperature level has been dropping rapidly. House is now set at 62 and I'm wearing shorts and tank top around the house.

Cancer? May be I am mutating into... iceman?

What does it do?

The thyroid is the bodys regulator system. If it is overactive your metabolism is ramped up, and you wont tolerate heat well, hence preferring the colder temperature.

Is it just at home that you are too hot or is it everywhere that you go? Just to cover the bases, could your furnace thermostat be malfunctioning?

Thats a good point maybe the furnace itself? Have you been tested for covid? I know it sounds crazy but my mom dad and myself all had it I had the elephant on my chest, lost taste and smell, had extremely sore arms and thighs, low grade fever 99.8 99.7 then back to 98.6 also had the soaking cold night sweats and Shivering chills (which for the last few days of Nov was convinced it was HIV from my June Activities) mom was tired and she was puking, occasional cough, & dad had a light cough we attributed to Lisinopril for BP nothing else we didn't even know he had it til 12 days after he took the test by that time we were all exposed and basically almost done with being infected, good ol Shitcago and we were never contact traced either!

Haha, I already looked into this. My thermostat is fine. And ya, I feel hot pretty much everywhere. I'm in the midwest winter right now and I'm wearing a t-shirt and a sweater outside. When I visit people's homes, I have to take my sweater off or I burn up while everyone else is all bundled up.
