Im gold, not brass
ah... bit of a provoking title for this entry... not sure really what it means yet but I have just about settled into my new life as a student busily studying/working/drinking/being drunk etc.
In this short time, I've been slowly getting more confident with myself and the way things are.
The amount of times I think that I am ready and that I can face facts, I seem to shy away and jump back to square one. But since I've met this lovely guy in a social group, things have been changing. Im usually the person who tries not to cause any offence and not get in the way - in other words Im a ninja! (drifts into the background) but now with him im starting to let my real self out a bit more!
But the really funny thing is that he and I are completely alike. When both finally plucked up the courage to talk to each other, I could see the "pain" on his face and I more than likely had the same expression as well! Since we passed that hurdle, we've been trying to spend more time with each other, but the thing is, there are always other people around us and when it comes to things like watching anime in a lecture theatre - some how there seems to be someone sitting between us...
ah... there be so much work to do now and all I can hope is that is relationship isn't all in my head!
