So I have been pretty dedicated to watching LOGO since the channel came out in 2005. I usually do enjoy much of the speicals and shows they feature, since they contain subject matter not dealt with or featured on other channels. However, sometimes I question the programming. Like the fact that 'I Love New York' is now going to be aired on LOGO. I mean why? For what reason? The show has nothing to do with being gay.

Does anyone else feel this way about any other shows on LOGO? Or see any fault with the channel itself? Even though I don't agree with some of the choices they make (i.e. I Love New York) I still think the channel is important and a big step forward.

Maybe I am complaining for no reason(I AM), but I need to vent and its frustrating for me to see such unimportant and mindless programming on a channel that should be much more than that.

By the way has anyone ever watched a channel called here!? It seems to have decent gay programming, but I don't know...

I dont know who runs that station(nor did i know it existed...you learn somethin new everyday...), but it sound like its ran by fatheads in suits who think they know what gay men want even though they dont...they think theyre cashing in on "gays" cos you know how we all go crazy for miss new york...not.

LOGO appeals to a very specific gay crowd of which I'd say is mostly those too old to be going out and clubbing every night. The shows put me to sleep, most of the guys and even females are average to poor looking.

Two tv offenses right off the bat-ugly people and boring content. Not to mention everything they air is so old we've all seen it already.

I have watched that channel and it seems to me that the programming is more toward lesbians than guys...The so called "humor" is lacking...the "men" seems to be mostly queens which is major turn off for me...and if you watch it enough they just repeat most of the programming...and some of us are over the club scene prefering to stay home and enjoy the company of freinds..we are not old!

i really only watch it for NewNowNext....i'm actually watching it now cause they are showing The Sarah Silverman Program...but this is the first time i've seen them air that....I don't understand the I Love New York airing on there....but most of MTV Network stations air each other's programming(CMT airs True Life and Hogan Knows Best, VH1 sometimes shows CMT reality shows, BET has shown some of MTV's shows) so it's really not surprising that they are showing I Love New York...but I would think if anything they would show Tila Tequila since that actually has gay/bi content on it.

LOGO is owned by Viacom, which also owns VH1 and MTV. So, whenever LOGO has trouble filling their schedule, they can borrow programming.

Please reference the thread about "I Love New York" here in this section. Note how long it is, how passionate people are about it, and how many JUBbers watch it.

There's your answer.

I've watched a few things on there. The Big Gay Sketch Show is hit 'n' miss, but there's usually enough funny stuff to make it worth watching. Other than that, whatever TiVo picks. :)

I imagine it's on Logo because of the lesbian aspect.

Not everything is about gay men. We're called the GLBT community.

I like "I Love New York" but this channel never really interested me. The only cool shows they had were documentary type specials on gay issues.

Everything else they air caters to a very specific type of gay man. I call them the "fabulous crowd". The ones who vogue and question their gender. :)

When they let go of "Noah's Arc" I left. That was the gay Sexy and the City/black Queer As Folk...a movie is coming out but the show is just about finished.

I cannot figure LOGO out.
This is a cable channel.... they show gay and lesbian themed programs.
Yet they edit out all the swearing....
I'm not a fan of swearing, though sometimes I do it myself.

I watched the film Wilde on LOGO a while back. They even edited out the nude scenes with Jude Law.
What's up with that?
It makes no sense to me... This is supposed to be a gay channel, restricted to minors... and they cannot even show the stuff that is on Shotime, or other networks....
The channel is a total joke... and they fill their shows with far more commercials than anyother network.

I hate the place. And I hope reps from LOGO read this.

>>>The channel is a total joke... and they fill their shows with far more commercials than anyother network.

At least we're a profitable demographic, then. :)

Thanks for starting an account on a gay porn site to let us know. If only all the other networks would do the same. :)

What are you talking about? New York and his Mother are trannies.

pisses me off that I pay extra for Digital cable and Logo Edits things like Queer as Folk and movies.

And I agree with IFeel4U about IloveNY...why not rerun Boy meets Boy, followed by the Madtv spoofs of Andra LOL

I Love New York, Sarah Silverman, and a couple other non-Logo shows are only on the channel tonight and tomorrow and won't air again after tomorrow. The reason is there's an awards show on tonight called The NewNowNext Awards and these shows are nominees so they're part of a marathon surrounding the awards. Sorry for the confusion!

Thank God! If I have to see annoying, rude New York on LOGO:grrr: But what's the point of airing it just because they're nominated? Anyone who has LOGO, has VH1 and if they wanted to watch that tired ass show they could have watched the 50 million repeats VH1 aired.

The reason HBO, Showtime, and the like can show unedited content is because they're premium channels. LOGO, isn't. It comes standard with most digital cable and basic satellite packages. You have to specifically request and pay extra to get the premium networks. Those channels are supported solely by the subscription charges people pay in order to see unedited content. LOGO is an advertiser-supported network, meaning it's in their best interest to abide by the current decency expectations for basic cable networks. If I'm not mistaken, there are no official guidelines set up by the FCC for cable networks because I believe they are exempt from their rules and, technically, are free to air whatever they want. However, since non-premium cable networks rely on advertisers for support, most choose not to risk alienating those sponsors by airing content that's too risqué.

I'd love reruns of Boy Meets Boy.

Although, I do think it would be even better if LOGO created a new reality dating series, much they did for Calpernia Addams. But ALL the guys should be gay! And I agree with ljhotboy, LOGO needs to up the superficial and sexual content ;) I mean think about an all-gay male reality show, with a bunch of hot, slutty, "I'm here for love" gay men! That could be good.

If you think that's the case, I really don't think you watch the channel very often.
