So much of this Trumpist deal with the devil the right wing has made is about what the entire election was always really about.

The stacking of the courts and shifting the judiciary to the far right in order to support a corporatist agenda of the American oligarchy and fundamentalist religious conservatives

1 in 4 circuit judges are now Trump appointees or nominees. 2 of the Supreme Court are his picks and you can be sure that the WH are sticking pins in RBG's doll to hopefully spedd her end as well.

So next time that progressives and the tantrum throwers or the people who aren't 'feeling' the Democratic candidate and might just not vote again have anything to say in 2020...please remind them that the Republic and democracy will ultimately be lost in the Courts. They are that thin line.

1 in every 4 circuit court judges is now a Trump appointee (The Washington Post; December 21, 2019)

"Living next to you is in some ways like sleeping with an elephant. No matter how friendly and even-tempered is the beast, if I can call it that, one is affected by every twitch and grunt," said the late Pierre Trudeau.

That was 50 years ago in 1969. Now, a half-century later, the elephant is a herd and it is very, very cranky.

I can remember a time when the United States went to war to prevent this stuff from happening in other countries, and it, for some obscure reason, is being allowed to happen here and now.

Well it had to be about something, no? It certainly isn't about the money, he took a huge pay cut. And not about the power as obviously the American President has none. This is the only way he can actually leave his mark.

Hold on RBG... as long as you can!

It won't matter if Ginsburg stays through this term or not. Trump WILL win reelection and appoint her successor because she surely won't hang on 4 more years.

Then, of course, there are the other elderly Justices. Trump may get at least 2 more or maybe 3. The court in his next term will swing 7 - 2 or 8 - 1 ??

This is, of course, why the Dems will do absolutely anything to flummox Trump.

Well that certainly sounds like a troll. Let me introduce myself, I exist to give attention to poor, internet avatars who obviously desperately need the attention. It frees up the rest of them to go on about their business.

OH MY GOD! What is the matter with your! I CAN'T believe you just said that!!!!!!!!

(I'd add an emoji but at this early stage that would be egregious. Feel free to escalate.)

No need to troll. Isn't it obvious that if Trump wins reelection he will have the opportunity to nominate at least 2 Justices in four years?
Your hatred for the man blinds you to an objective discussion of the obvious outcome of his possible reelection.

I don't need to support or condemn him to know the obvious. Whoever the next President is will have the same opportunity.

Whoever the next President is will have the same opportunity.

Perhaps, but from a lifetime of past experience, we can pretty much be assured that Trump will choose the opportunity which benefits him. He's been doing it his entire life.

His time is almost up and he knows that he will be going to jail when he isn't president anymore (not that he's done anything close to presidential since he swore to uphold the Constitution).

You're correct - sorry, my degree is in healthcare, not Gramma

Democrats need a much better candidate than Biden to win and something to offer America other than "anyone not named Trump"

I've been a registered Democrat all my voting life, but I can recognize what's happening and I can say it loudly to awaken people to aspire to more than election by hate - in my humble opinion that won't win

Democrats didn't and still doesn't have a winning candidate or a winning strategy. That's why they have been so desperate to oust Trump by any method other than election. I understand that many don't want anyone to say it but hiding from the truth doesn't change the reality - again in my opinion.

I'm seriously curious. How do you see hate where it doesn't exist and how do you not see hate where it does? Is there so much hate on your side of the fence that you are numbed to it?

Dem supporters are either out in small numbers or burning cars, smashing store fronts, beating people they hate or sounding hysterical like their model leaders and media god's.

I haven’t found this to be true in my neighborhood, but would be interested to learn the identity of the referenced “model leaders.”

I'm not aware of any Democratic supporters out burning cars, smashing store fronts, and beating people they hate, but I am aware of Republican supporters threatening people with guns.

ALOHA! If we are going to entertain you seriously well then let's start with why you smell like you live under a bridge.

First off I start smelling bridge anytime someone says "...I've been a lifelong X, BUT..." That just always tends to end betwixt concrete and muddy river sludge.

2. You make preposterous generalizations - anyone who's actually a lifelong Democrat is painfully aware that there is no such thing as Democratic unity, and never has been.

3. You don't actually have a point, just some hate for "Democrats" who apparently all have bitterly disappointed you.

4. You don't actually refer to yourself as a Democrat beyond the attempt to give yourself credibility. I am not a lifelong Democrat, but I am one now, and I think the Democratic Party made a mistake in pushing Biden over Warren. See how it's done?

This part made me snicker:

Hmmmm, I see two right wing attack memes. a claim of a silent majority, and an attempt to rationalize all three. Really, that is just giving the game away.

I say Bitter BernieBro, or Pub in sheep's clothing.

Oh I like to go out in small numbers (social distancing,) torch a Buick, lay waste to a Starbucks - between sounding hysterical and laying prostrate before Rachel on my T.V. It breaks up the monotony ya know!

Whatever this guy's motivations actually are, Biden will be the nominee, and Trump is a criminal incompetent, so it's doesn't really matter who spooger is supposedly screaming at, the Democratic voting base chose Biden, and overwhelmingly rejected Bernie.

Foreword we go.

I hope he comes back, we haven't had a good spat in here in awhile.

Oh, I'm back. Just had to leave for real life for a while - job, you know.
Not here for a spat. Not a troll. Yes, a registered Democrat over 50 years.
Just speaking my mind about what I see about the party.
Dissatisfied with what the party has become, the people who offer themselves for election and the "anyone other than Trump" platform. We used to be so much more.
I've been on JUB for 14 years so I know how some people love to judge and argue. Doesn't bother me. I'll speak my opinion. I know it's wrong to you. So is yours to me.

Opinion: do something different or Trump wins again. Biden is an awful candidate. So was Sanders. No, not a Bernie Bro either.
