Have you noticed that everything now is breaking new? On both CNN and FOX today, the breaking news was that Obama felt that he could've won the election if he were allowed. Hell, even a cat being hit by a car is breaking news in places. How is all this crap breaking news? I think this crap helps to cheapen news and blur the lines between what is real and what is fake.
 
'Breaking News' is the digital term of 'Extra! Extra! Read All About It!' and 4 inch headlines on newspapers. It's called 'a scoop'.

All I can tell you is, when I worked in local TV we worked really hard to make sure our news was factual and told a complete story.

Now having said that. We weren't above short snappy teasers to get you to watch us. But ours while got your attention, the info in the teases was correct.

I don't like cable news networks. They have 24 hours and they tell the same story over and over and I think they get sloppy. I think we were better off when we got our national news once a day in a 30 minute newscast.

By the way, I have to protest "liberal media". All of these media companies are very conservative. The only one that's even remotely liberal is Disney. FOX News and MSNBC aren't news networks, they are opinion channels.
 
The 24-hour non-stop news channels have meant that to keep ratings, news agencies need to make everything sensational and shocking and scandalous.

Yes. Barack Obama could have won a third term. No shit. That's not news, that's common sense.
 
Well,
to the Trump supporters, why not do the election thing again between Trump and Obama to see who is the winner. Lets give them both 1 months of debating and swearing at each other .
