hi, whenever i download a new mp3 it saves it in "my downloads" folder (which is where its supposed to go) but realised it also automatically puts it in my iTunes which is really annoying the crap out of me because now i have to find the track and delete it from the itunes library so it doesnt put it in my ipod when i plug it in. Can someone please tell me how to stop it from doing this??

btw, im using bearshare (if that has anything to do with prob)??

thanks

Why dont you just turn off the iPods auto-sync function this way it wont put the song onto your iPod when you plug it in.

The torrent I use has the ability to turn of "Add to iTunes". Maybe there is something similar with Bearshare. Check under preferences.

When downloading songs from iTunes, yes, it automatically puts the song in a folder in iTunes so you can put it on your iPod! Dah!

You can go into the iTunes preferences or have your iPod NOT update your latest songs if you do not want them added to your iPod library!

It must be under that program's preferences whether or not you want the downloaded song to be automatically added to you itunes library when it completes the download... I use limewire and it has an option to do that.

I recommend the Manually Manage Music option in itunes. This way when you add or delete music in itunes it won't automatically do it on the ipod.

I've lost music at first when I deleted files from my computer to make room for more and itunes will delete them from the ipod. Ggrrrr!
