I'm aiming for that look. Still working on it. But I'm getting close.

I have no idea as to your age but, DAMN, you're lookin' good.......![]()
Agreed. I note as well that you have admirable posture. Really important, and often forgotten.
If you rotate your shoulder back, face forward, and adjust the lighting, I think you'd look even closer to the hunk in the first pic. His squared-off pecs are genetic--you're one of the lucky ones if you've got them, too. (My partner has those pecs and I wouldn't have spent as much time talking to him on the beach the first time we met if he hadn't. He tells me it was my green eyes.)
Weighted dips (or a weighted dip machine) could give you a better pec-delt tie-in than he has, and--importantly--the arm vein. The arm vein is pretty essential, I think. I find doing farmer's walks with heavy dumbbells, keeping my torso tight, chest high and rotating the tightly gripped weights as I walk is great for both my arms and delts.
Up to now, I've only done dips, pull-ups, chinups, etc. with my body weight. Never tried weighted dips.
I've found that I made the most progress from doing kinesthetics and using dumbbells instead of machines.
Edit.
I'm limping around right now. Leg day yesterday. And we are on vacation haha. Just doesn't feel right for either of us to skip working out.
I have been following a similar regime and have been wearing wife beaters recently to show off progress![]()

I found out something on my self-improvement journey. Updating my body (hardware) has been hard, but updating my mind (software) to match the hardware is even harder.
When I started, I had big belly and skinny arms. I topped out at 196 pounds and my biggest waist size was 36 inches. Even though that's no longer the case, every time I'm not looking into the mirror my self image in my mind is still a fat dude with skinny arms. I've talked around and others who have gone through the same journey have experienced the same thing. People call it the fat kid who refuses to go away. It's a version of body dismorphia.
In the extreme cases, we see women who won't stop working out even though they are at 2-3% body fat and men who lifts all the time keep trying to get bigger because in their minds they are still either a fat dude or skinny dude even though they already got Greek physigue. For women, it's call anorexia and for men it's bigorexia.
The tanktops are suppose to help with updating the software.
But this is another reason why you see guys flexing to a mirror in the gym. They are actively trying to update their software. I used to see them as in love with themselves too much. Now I understand that it's a necessity.
I only asked if you two had been beefing up or slimming down![]()
Hence, I worded the OP for double meaning. You guys are no fun.

I think they are great. Very manly. They really show who's the boss.
Anybody else here like wifebeaters?
