Welcome to JD's blog where I'll have the chance to keep you all enthralled with the ramblings of a webmaster. :) The blog feature is just the very latest in a series of cool things we've got going on in JUBland. As always, the best is yet to come, but we hope some of you will really enjoy this new feature!

The election seems like the perfect time to get this blog of mine humming. I'll be knee deep in CNN all day so I may as well blog a bit to let of some steam.

Let's get my prediction out of the way right now... Kerry wins with over 300 electoral votes.

People in swing states have been complaining about phony calls telling them that a vote for Kerry is a vote to legalize gay marriage. This is the latest wrinkle in a voter suppression campaign that earlier informed people that their polling place had changed, or that they would have to pay their parking tickets before voting, etc. What a shame that people feel they have to stoop to this level.

So far, eveything I'm seeing points to record turnout, which the conventional wisdom indicates favors Kerry. Who knows if that's really the case, but I for one am hopeful. There are reports of intimidation and election law violations in scattered precincts across the country, but on the whole it seems as though things are going smoothly. I also just heard representatives from both parties say that things in Florida were going very well, "calm" is the word one of them used. Perhaps cooler heads have prevailed and we'll have a fair election without the need for Supreme Court involvement. Wouldn't that be nice.

Raf and I are heading out to Tremblant, QC on December 9 for a weekend of hardcore skiing. Here's a pic of the Tremblant ski village where we warm up after skiing:

I think we've finally made it to a point where more things work than don't. That's nothing to brag about, but it does make me feel better because for a time I wasn't sure if we'd ever get to this point.

We should be able to knock the rest of the stuff out this week and have the vast majority of the featured working by the weekend.

Seth and I want to thank all of you for being so patient. This truly was a mess and we're really grateful to everyone who stuck it out!

We've restarted the JUB Blog to be a clearing house of sorts for the huge amount of activity on JUB. Yeah, we've been down this road before, but this time we're going to try to do it right! LOL

We'll be highlighting some of our favorite content because with so much going on, it can be difficult to keep up.

Check it out! The New JUB Blog right here!
