Are you suggesting that licking lips, chapped or otherwise, suggests dishonesty or stupidity? If so, we'll alert the media and actresses selling porn or beer will lose their jobs.
Two million? Yuan? Baht? In US dollars, it is capped at $180k per annum as a White House employee. If so, he's making far less than former U.S. Senators make when going into the private sector, so his salary would be a sacrifice compared to his market worth.

I guess you could indeed make an argument that at age 79, he's blocking some younger public servant from rising, so I agree on that point. I much prefer to see these old guys donating their expertise in retirement rather than holding on so long. There is a broader problem in the US society with that very thing. What about in your country? Is retirement mandatory? What is the average lifespan where you live?

I'm not sure the special representativve for climate change has any notches on his belt.
His role is like that of an ambassador. He doesn't make policy, or legislation, or treaties. He supports the US by being the envoy to coordinate and lead in the effort ot address climate change.
