I have always had some trouble with stiff joints in my neck and back, but as I get older I am having increasing trouble with both knees. Are there any good vitamin or diet suplements that anyone can recommened that may help? Thanks!:-)

Since you're 37, I suppose its perfectly normal for these symptoms to appear. I'd suggest that you take at least 700-800mg EPA. Which usually equals to 4-6 1000mg Salmon Oil Capsule.

Add Magnesium & Calcium Supplement( Find that offers 600mg calcium,400mg magnesium version).

And Vitamin B Complex. Follow the recommendation & ask the nutritionist what dosage would she recommend for you.

And drink Plenty, plenty, & plenty of Clean Treated Water.

Good Luck!

37? that is too young for this to be normal.

Newbie 69, you make it sound like 37 is 67!

Sparky, the next time you see your Doctor mention this. As you said it could just be a minor thing that a supplement can help. It could also be a sign of premature knee problem issues and may require future attention.

Sparky have you trained in martial arts, gone to the gym and used equipment incorrect? Another possibility could be arthritis and age has nothing to do with it. I have a mate who's younger than me and has arthritis.

Maybe you could try Glucosamine supplements. Viartril is one of the better brands i know of.

You say in your profile that you are in shape
although you are now 38.
You may have arthritis.
I use Aleeve sparingly. Maybe once a week or every two weeks.
I have tried various vitamins and herbs,
but I get no help that way.
Good luck.

Why don't you go see your doctor? He/She can do a few quick tests to see if it really is arthritis, or if it's something else like compression, overuse, swelling, decreased joint fluid, etc... And if it's anything like that, there are plenty of treatment options out there that will have you feeling better in no time. Don't be afraid to visit your doctor just because you don't want to hear what might be wrong, that's never a good idea.
