So is Steve Grand going to do the same thing to sell tickets and shun a niche audience that's loyal for a wider audience that's unforgiving of what they perceive to be "real country vs pop-infused American Idol 'country'"?

I guess that means JUB is soon going to get a cease-and-desist order from him - after all, he doesn't want to be reminded that he was once a gay that made music for those pesky gays. :##:

This makes me so sad. Being gay is awesome, I wish gay men didn't feel the need to be in the closet. We are beautiful as we are. :(

I'm sorry, at this point in time when we are seeing marriage equality becoming more and more a reality, not an insane dream, there's no sense putting the genie back in the bottle. Ain't gonna work... he's gay. Whoever pushed Joey or Nate or whatever his name is, shame on them. Shame on Joey/ Nate for not respecting himself enough to tell them to fuck off, he's staying real.

No, Steve Grand surpassed his Kickstarter goal to fund his debut album! He's been doing very well.

 
That's good to hear. I just don't know how Josey/ Nate thinks he can erase his past? Steve has talent and I know his model looks are a big part of his appeal, but it's unfair for some to say he's using the gay community and I wish because they present a similar style they not be lobbed together with Josey/ Nate. Josey really is a disappointment.... that he can embrace us such for a few years then drop us like a hot potato and act as if that Josey never existed and straight Nate is who he wants to portray himself as, ignoring those who have supported him these past few years... just really makes me pissed.
 
I just discovered who Nate Green/ Josey Greenwell was yesterday....And I totally regret googling that name.

What a piece of trash. I mean...does this fuckface have ANY integrity? How the fuck can he even think about turning his back on our community just to sell more records? I mean, by "converting" to heterosexuality and now being homophobic just so that his country music can be exposed to a broader market, he's thrown our ENTIRE community under the bus.

And what really pisses me off about this, is his entire attitude towards this. He's literally become just as big of a censorship Nazi as fucking Onision on YouTube. Any comment on his Facebook and Twitter pages calling him out on really being Josey Greenwell are basically instantaneously deleted, he's basically said that he doesn't want any gay men on his page on Facebook and of course, takes measures to delete comments made by gay men.
The biggest "fuck you" to the gay community was when he basically threatened a commenter with a fucking LAWSUIT because this commenter posted something LGBT-related on his Facebook. Talk about fucking being uber desperate to cover your ass. He's just as bad as Nash Grier in my book.
 
I've learned of his changing his name and presenting himself as a heterosexual. I haven't heard much about his being homophobic.

xbox, do you have any link of evidence to support this? Also, what exactly was this lawsuit about? Because, it sounds a bit possessed.
 
I'm sure he does, but that's besides my point.

I was a little queer (haha) when the member above me stated homophobia coming from him.

Is there any substantial evidence for it, or are we simply assuming that he's a homophobe now simply because he has chosen to present a heterosexual image with a new name?
