I've had this problem before and thought I could fix it. I've logged out and cleared my cache, cookies, and history, and I've even rebooted..

Someone helped me fix it before and my brain leaked all the info I got.

Any suggestions would be gratefully accepted.

(I run Firefox version 38.0.1.)

Whatever I did, it seems to be working now. I thought perhaps that I had missed a step somewhere.

Whoops. I spoke too soon. I just logged on again for the 3rd time today. It is 3:16 PM my time. Hot Topics is still showing threads from 9:21 AM as 'New Topics'. And new topics that I clicked on this morning are still taking me back to threads I've already read first thing this morning.

Well I wonder if it could be that your Firefox is not up todate. The latest is 48.0.1. I am having no problems.

@gsdx:
Try holding down the 'shift' key and clicking reload/refresh ... that'll force FireFox (or I believe any browser) to do a true/full reload of the page.

The only time I get what what you're describing is when I've logged in from 2 different computers...JUB doesn't synchronize what's been read between the 2 logins for some reason. For testing I just tried it right now & that's what its doing (if I read something from where I'm posting this, then switch over to a 2nd computer it still shows as un-read on that one)
Could that be the same for you by chance?

I only have one ANYthing that I use for JUB. I'll try it the next time I notice the problem.

@Hotrich. This is only the second time it's happened, and both times it was this version of Firefox.

I'll try updating it and trust that it works okay. (I hate doing updates when I find one that works.)

Well, never mind again. Whatever the problem was has fixed been fixed (I take all the credit, of course) and has been working fine since first thing this morning and after 3 restarts. (I'm watching the Olympics and I shut down the internet so I'm not tempted to read when I should be watching.

Thanks for your advice, though.
