I love that show! I find it hilarious the way she shouts at people :D On the other hand, I can't stand Jeremy Kyle.

I love Judge Judy as well and have been watching her show since she came on television. I like her because she can't tolerate stupidity. A lot of people don't like her because she shouting. They think she's rude and overbearing. But it's her way of keeping control of the courtroom. I've seen some court shows which were little more than the Jerry Springer Show in robes.

Jeremy Kyle, from what I've seen in his promos, is rude and obnoxious just for the sake of being rude and obnoxious. . . and ratings.

I like The People's Court, too, except when Milian interrupts her litigants to go of on some tangent about her own personal life. And she hasn't figured out even after all these years that most Americans don't speak Spanish. Still, she's better than the other TV judges in my opinion. and Douglas is the hottest bailiff on television. I'd love to handcuff him to my podium.

Love her as for Jeremy Kyle how can anyone watch a show where the title for one segment is
" I am 16 and want to get pregnant and think my 17 year old boyfriend is cheating on me" what slags and assholes.

I still don't understand why it's a state issue and can't be a federal issue. In Canada, it began as a provincial issue, and then the Government of Canada took over and made it a federal issue - and it all happened within 3 years. I don't understand what it is about the United States which prevents the federal government from stepping in. If Bush can change the Constitution to make it illegal, why couldn't Obama (or any other future president) make it legal? Do state constitutions overrule the country's constitution? If so, how could Bush have believed he could have changed it?

As JJ said in the interview, there will never be a solution to this situation as long as it's left to individual states.

I used to watch this when I had to get up early for work - it was on at 5:00am in the morning. I thought it was entertaining but I thought she was a crap judge. Judge Judy shouts, but Milian seemed to shout randomly and also she didn't really have control over her court when the plaintiff's or defendants got loud. I never saw the Spanish parts but I thought it was hilarious when she used to talk about all the stuff she had dealt with in her life. Even in the intro to the show she talked about what she suffered and went through and how she overcame lol

It usually wasn't much. She would say, "We have a saying in Spanish: (Spanish quotation). Know what that means? (Very few litigants know Spanish.) It means, 'Order up a hot chocolate? Pay for the hot chocolate."

I should know them. She says them often enough. But she says them so fast, I don't have a clue what she's saying.
 
Judge Judy is a big mouth bitch, in the sort of way any exploitative shock value personality is rather old Howard Stern or Rush Limbaugh.

While she does have some good points her nasty ass mouth and the about 13 minutes of carefully edited and pasteurized show is dull so loaded down with endless commercials, like all TV is a waste.
Who needs to see a nasty rich old New Yorker yelling at people. Shes a fucking lawyer the same as John Edwards or half the ambulance chasers that advertise between the bullshit rip off technical colleges on her long half hour. A good example of a show made for direct you tube.

One time when she plays Doctor telling some Jerry Springer reject that Bert & her are paying for them if they are in some hardship either with disability, income, or loss of employment ~~~~~ someone needs to tell that fucking bitch when she ask whats the their disability to "shut the fuck up thats protected status all you need to know because you don't look like a educated medical person is that I am on disability. Ask her back are you a doctor, what is your credit/education with your eyes to tell me what my personal problems are?
Get your shit ass back down to Naples Florida you rich cunt.
 
I really like Judge Judy! Though it's on during weekdays here in Australia so it's hard to catch while at work during the week!

Although I sometimes think she can be slightly harsh when dealing with people, those people on the same token can be slightly thick lol

I've seen her in a few interviews (obviously not in her judge role) and she seems so down to earth and friendly... Still I think I'd be scared to mess with her and would definitely run the other way if I came face to face in a dark ally with her! I can imagine she could handle her own >_<
