I came out last week and it's been really hard to deal with ever since. Everyone knows except for most of my family (who lives an hour away). I'm giving them the holidays, and then in January, I'm telling them. My brothers already know and so does everyone else I know. There's a chance my family will find out before the holidays are over, but it's not that big a deal to me. I have been struggling with finding people to talk to about this... I don't have any gay friends up here, and the closest one I have lives 3 hours away and won't return my calls because he wants to talk to me in person over Thanksgiving. Having just joined JUB, I'm not really familiar with anyone here yet, so it would be cool to chat with someone on Yahoo or Skype. I have pics and my myspace is posted in my profile. My situation is kinda complicated, but I'm a very open-minded person who loves to talk. :wave:
 
I'm sure you'll get plenty of offers, but you might try starting a thread in the "Coming Out & Relationships" section. That's where all us JUBbers who think that, for whatever reason, we're qualified to give advice hang out. :)

Hi! Congrats on your coming out journey thus far! :)

It's too bad that your friend is not returning your calls atm.

Also another option would be to check out emptyclosets.com.

It is a forum for LGBT youth. It is a safe place to chat and it has quite a few resources for coming out. It has also a forum for Support and Advice. If you want, feel free to check it out. It is a great place!

Yes, you can PM people, but you're also free to chat openly with ALL of us who click on your thread. That might seem a bit intimidating, but you'll also get more points of view.

I would like to offer some advice, and, I know for sure that Lex would, too. In fact, he's pretty darned good at it! ..|

However, I don't see a question, yet. If there's something in particular that you'd like to chat about, just put it out there. (group)
