I got a message from some strange guy, who's profile reads "Just exploring my sexuality" but anyway, the message he sent me was "you obviously don't work out" Now given, I am not in the best shape at the moment, but working on that. Work out at the YMCA 5 days a week now. But anyways, thought that was rude of some stranger to go out of his way to tell me that. I replied with "Obviously, you're an asshole" which was equally rude, but I felt it was necessary. What do you guys think?

I would have just ignored it...I have been on that site and some of those guys who call themselves daddies arent daddies at all.(my opinion) .Some should try biggercity.com..LOL..But if someone sent me a msg like that I wouldnt waste my time to respond...

Ignore people like that, especially on hookup sites. They're primadonna's. Even if he has a body that is "all that", do you really want someone who can't see past his own image in a mirror? The world is filled with gorgeous morons and airheads. His snippy, queeny, attitude-laden response should speak volumes to you. You don't need someone that shallow in your life. Looks fade quickly and bodies age. People like that end up like the proverbial old queen that sits on a bar stool night after night, lonely and friend-less, because he spent his life thinking he was better than everyone else.

I wouldn't have ignored him. I would've just sent a "thank you for your message" response, and gone on with my life. I've gotten too many ugly/fat/messy/stupid comments in my life to bother responding to every single one. I've got a life to live.

I've never understood why guys feel the need to just send a message out of the blue to people criticizing them of anything, whether it be age, race, weight, looks, etc.
I've gotten messages out of the blue on such sites as gay.com, manhunt, and through ads on craigslist saying that i'm too hairy, not muscular enough, that I don't work out as much as I should, that I look older for my age. I have found it best to just ignore those people, and i'm someone who usually responds to every message I get, even if i'm not interested. You have to ask yourself, if they are that rude up front why would you want to even chat with someone like that....but again that's just my opinion.

I agree, i've made some great friends on Manhunt and Gay.com and just recently started using adam4adam. I've even gotten a few days out these websites and surprisingly one has worked out pretty good, we aren't anything official but are at least good friends at the moment

what is the deal with gay guys and working out anyway? i mean, it is nice to be in shape, but that can be done by riding a bike, jogging, hiking, swimming, etc...it seems like under interests...like 80% of guys will have gym/going to the gym/working out...why is this such a jock culture?
i'd far prefer someone who spends their time, reading, writing, playing music or what have you. and if you wanna go to the gym, fine, i wouldn't discourage it, but why is it some sort of requirement? why is it such a big deal? when dating girls going to the gym was never an issue at all...but every gay guy i talk to is all about how often i go to the gym or if i even do and what do i bench and so on.
well i for one, almost consider it a deal breaker if you ask what i bench within a day of meeting me. the reason...because i don't even know, because i have better shit to do than figure it out, and because you should too.

I use Adam4Adam, Manhunt, and a few others. Have met some nice guys, but also met a few weirdos, and a couple assholes as well. I find most are looking for just sex, regardless what they say in their profiles.
