I honestly dont care about either, i only got Ayo Technology cuz Timerlake and Timberland is in it, but i agree with my friend when she said "even with timberlake and timberland, he still suck"

Kenny Chesney is probably the one that's the most pissed. He's been the indestructable 4'5" king of country for the past five years and usually crosses over to debut at the top of not only the country album's chart but also the pop chart. And his recent single, "Never Wanted Nothing More" spent five weeks at No. 1 on the country singles chart.

Neither West nor 50 Cent (especially 50) have enjoyed as much singles success as Chesney. In fact, to my knowledge all three singles released from 50's new CD have missed the top 10.

50 has announced that what he MEANT was that he'd put his solo career ON HOLD. Not retire - on hold. So he'll be releasing a G-Unit CD before the next solo album.

50 Cent is as bad as that "Guiding Light" bitch Kim Zimmer (Reva).

I hate to drag a soap opera into a rap/country chart controversy but in 2006, the already-three-times Emmy winner announced, on the eve of the Emmys, that if she won she would never again submit her name.

Zimmer won that night but backed out on her word and submitted her name again this past year at the 2007 Emmys and of course, got nominated.

My point is, I guess, is that some of these celebs -- even ones that have been around for 30 years like Zimmer, are addicted to awards, recognition and don't seem to know when to stop and just keep their big mouths shut.

I don't mean in a government conspiracy, brain-washing sort of manner.
But manipulated nonetheless.

Did you think 50 Cent was so full of ego that he never ONCE gave any thought to the fact that he might not sell as many CD as Kanye? I can next-to-guarantee he gave it plenty of thought. His singles from the CD have bombed. He needed something to goad sales. Thus the "promise". Clearly, such a comment wouldn't deter anyone who was going to buy the CD from doing so, but it probably WOULD get some more people to buy it (at least earlier) than would've otherwise. And what of the negative repercussions? He just re-explains his promise ("I'm going to take a break from solo performing, and work with G-Unit" - something he probably was planning to do anyway), and counts on both his fans' forgiveness and the general public's short attention spans. Both of which, as you should know, can be counted on fairly reliably.

I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if Kanye and 50 worked out the deal beforehand. They went platinum and then some in 7 days. Not bad in 2007.

Your homework - why did Kim Zimmer annound that she wouldn't submit her name on the eve of the 2006 Emmy awards?

If 50 never opened his mouth and took Kanye's bait, he probably would have sold more. But because he was so sure and so cocky, he was practically begging people to make him fail. This was a no lose situation for Kanye. If he won, it was a triumph. If he lost, well everyone would have expected that, so no biggie.

I agree on both counts -

I've seen 50¢ in concert three times, really like him, love his first album, but his second album lost me with the way way way way way way way too much use of the nigger word. Kanye has been more creative since his first album
