Okay this is really embarrassing for me to ask but I need some advice...

So I'm uncut and happy to be, I'm glad I still have my foreskin. Lately I've been playing around with a friend - I've had other hook-ups in the past but this is the first time I've been in a situation that's more personal and relationship-y. My friend told me a while ago that unless I've showered recently (like in the past 2 or 3 hours) that my foreskin smells. It's not 'cheesy', just smelly. It isn't something that bothers him too much - he won't give me a blowjob if it smells (of course) but apart from that we'll play as usual, but obviously it's something I want to avoid altogether.

The thing that bothers me about this is that I'm not a dirty person. I shower twice a day, and when I do shower I make sure to wash my penis - I gently scrub it for 10-20 seconds using a shower wash that is three-quarters moisturising cream and one-quarter mild cleanser. I have dry and sensitive skin so I find that using anything stronger then this will dry out my skin and make it sore after a day or two, including my foreskin.

I tried using some wet toilet wipes just before fooling around but found that they also dry out my foreskin - I'm assuming they have some mild alcohol in them or something. And I find that washing my penis before sex using soap and water is messy and annoying. That's what I've been doing lately, but would rather not.

So basically my question is whether or not it's normal for an uncut penis to smell after a few hours? And how do other uncut guys deal with this? Thanks...

You've created a bit of a complicated situation. The most practical thing for you to do is jump into the shower (with or without your boyfriend) and freshen up. Some guys are just very sensitive to body smells and a quick shower usually takes care of it.

If the shower isn't practical for you, buy a flavored lube. Cleanup with water and apply the flavored lube. That will give a pleasant taste and smell and is usually strong enough to conceal any odors that your boyfriend may not find pleasant.

An uncut penis does NOT need to be washed every two or three hours. Your friend (who I assume is cut?) is overreacting and sounds like he has a bit of a foreskin phobia. If you're showering daily and always wash your penis, there's no reason for you to do more than that. Your friend sounds like he's responding negatively to your natural smell, and if that's the case...well, that's not a good sign.

I don't think your boyfriend is necessarily over sensitive... if he has a problem with the smell then it's probably an honest reaction and you're right to want to do something about it. Did he tell you what kind of smell he was picking up? Like was it urine or musk or what?

This is what I do, depending on the situation.

Ideally I disappear into a bathroom and give it a quick rinse over the sink. I never use soap, instead I use a shampoo, shower gel or a moisturizing lotion. You can find those in most bathrooms, but failing that I use only water. I pull back the skin all the way to smooth out any folds. It's easy and fast. I don't really understand why you think it's messy to do that.

Failing that, I use a moist travel towel - I usually carry them in my car - but not the kind with alcohol. Moisturizing lotion or lube on a kleenex also works, or in a pinch I use saliva.

I usually also give my backside a wipe while I'm at it.

Try this, when you pee if you pull it out over your pants and underwear pull the front down enough that your penis hangs naturally, give it a shake or two to make sure most of the urine is gone, give it a few seconds, relax and see if any more comes out, then dab with some toliet paper. You'll probably still catch a little urine in your foreskin as you move around but should be less noticeable.

Other than that follow the advice above. And continue to discuss it with your friends.

Yeah I've noticed that happening! So that's normal too? It doesn't seem to matter how long I shake it or dab it with toilet paper, a drop or two of piss always seems to come out after I've left the bathroom. It's so frustrating...

I only shower once a day or every other day.

Best thing is to just go into a bathroom and wash your dick with antibacterial soap and dry it with a paper towel. You don't need to take a complete shower. Just do that and do it thoroughly and you should be fine.

but seriously, ive never noticed a smell from mine. i almost always dry it with tp. or leave it in skinned back when i put it back in. that way my underwear soaks the last drops.

I don't think it's an over-reaction. There is nothing wrong with a bit of a freshen up before playing. It's consideration to your partner. I gag if I smell even a bit of cheese.
