Kelly at the country awards?

Why is Kelly Clarkson performing at the country awards? Thats what they said on the commercial the other night or did I take that the wrong way?

I agree. I wouldn't be surprised if they did that on purpose. It seems like Nashville is always doing shady crap like that. I've heard that they are getting pissed with all the attempts by pop and rock stars to crossover into country music recently (Bon Jovi, Michelle Branch, Jewel). I wouldn't be surprised if they set Kelly up to look foolish at their awards show.

I think it sounded good....not as good as the original...but Reba has an amazing voice...as does Kelly...and I've read people complaining that Kelly didn't get to sing more....well hello if she did...it really wouldn't have been a new version of the song. It's Reba's song now...it's her new single..Kelly is just featured on the re-make. I'm sure Kelly was just in awe singing with Reba...like she always says she is when she's around HER Idol! They've recorded an episode of CMT's Crossroads together too.

But it was a for a duets CD, not a Reba and various backup singers CD.
