Kelly Rippa needs to Get Over It!

I had to skip down to get this thought out and I apologize if others already commented on it or if I disagree with someone, but I think Kelly came out hoping to make fun of Clay and to push the envelope about ruors that he is gay and that he was aware of this and too k every chance he could to throw her off. The opening comments from her are disrespectful of him. After he did the indiscretion of putting his hand over her mouth , she says. "I don't know where that hand has been." How disrespectful is that? She is one of those people that attained stardom for a reason that will never be known. If it were to be discovered, humanity would end.

And hving said that, I forgot to say that I am not a big Aiken fan. I thought his album was weak and I'm kinda sory I spent the money on it. But in this isolated case, I think he was wronged by Ripa.

For the love of God EVERYTHING is not about homosexuality if it's said to a homosexual. I'm so tired of people infusing homosexuality into EVERYTHING. Just because it's the center of your world doesn't mean it's the center of everyone else's.

Rosie O'Donnell always seems to need to be championing a cause of some kind, and her's at the moment is "everyone is homophobic" I think she's so annoying. And Kelly didn't say anything about it until fat-ass Rosie accused her of being homophobic. Gimme a break. Ripa has every right to defend herself against these wild accusations. Rosie is annoying and her koosh balls and her dumb pant-suits and her little obsessions we're all supposed to think are cute like Tom Cruise (Craaaaaazy) and Barbara Striesand (Overrated bee-hotch). Grrrrrrrrrrrrr. She makes me so mad.

I didn't see the show but just saw these clips (thanks for posting) and honestly, I think Kelly over-exaggerated this situation and probably misunderstood what Clay was trying to do. It seemed to me that he was "trying" really hard to be funny by being bitchy, sarcastic and over the top with his comments (Regis and herself pretty much have this act down too everyday), that concept of 2 cohosts putting each other down is an old talk show cliche and good for cheap, quick laughs, rememer the Sonny and Cher show? I really think Kelly took what Clay said personally and got her ego hurt when he was just trying to entertain, at least that's what I saw from these clips. Maybe there's more to the show that I didn't see that really showed Clay was a self-absorbed ahole but I didn't really see any of that from these clips.

I didn't think it was too classy of Kelly to embarrass him the next day like that, I was surprised she actually said all that in front of an audience. That was not respectful of her. Entertainment tonight reported that Clay sent her flowers right away after this thing blew into something bigger than it should have been and it's clear that it got blown into something big because of her, not Clay.

Totally on Kelly's side on this...Clay although he may have been trying to get some laughs...he did it in the wrong way and obviously Kelly didn't read it as being funny but as being disrespectful. He's a guest host...and like she said she had never met him before that day, it's one thing if she had known him prior to the show and they were joking around...but for him to come on her show and just start bashing on her and trying to steal the spotlight the whole show is rude. And then yeah if he had done it right the hand on the mouth could have been funny, but that really wasn't the right timing...the spotlight wasn't on him so he had to try and do something. And what Kelly said "i don' tknow where your hadns have been" that was her just trying to recover from what he did...you can see when she does the no no's she's about to say something else and something clicks and she's like i need to try and get a laugh to cover this.

Rosie, i do love her sometimes, I enjoy watching her on teh View....but bitch you had no right to get involved in this situation...you're not friends with Clay, didn' treally seem like you're friends with Kelly, it didn't happen on your show...and bitch (yeah we all knwo Clay is gay, but you just "lanced" him)...i really lost a lot of respect for her after this little thing.

That's funny, I have a totally opposite perspective on this and interesting to see how everyone feels. I'm not defending Clay at all but it seems that kelly is acting petty over this and being a hyprocryte. She is telling Regis and her audience that Clay was disrespectful and unprofessional but I find that to publicly belittle someone by using such strong negative words to describe his character is very arrogate and unprofessional of Kelly herself. I agree with the author of this post that she shouldn't have dragged this out after saying that she isn't one to make a big deal about things.

Brilliant observation. I noticed that right away, too. She sensed the tension and tried to diffuse it with the comment hoping it would get a laugh. Even when he was making joke after joke after joke at her expense, she was fake-laughing all the way through it. Clay was the one who couldn't take a joke and laugh at himself.

But why do we keep debating this? I'm still trying to figure out how she's in the wrong for not wanting someone she has no previous history with putting their hand on her mouth trying to shut her up on HER show? She felt disrespected and had every right to feel that way and speak her mind on the matter.

Rosie's the one and only one involved in this whole thing who had NO RIGHT to say ANYTHING publicly about this.

Uh it's obviously different when Kelly and Regis joke around because they actually know eachother and are close. Kelly doesn't know Clay and he came on her show and made her look stupid by making fun of her and then putting his hand over her mouth. What Kelly said after Clay put his hand over her mouth was kind of in a joking way but it pretty much meant don't touch me. It didn't have anything to do with his sexuality. Why is this hard to understand?

Secondly, Rosie is a moron who views everything through her sexuality. Rosie is just looking for a fight all the time. I mean how the hell is Kelly homophobic? I've heard her make positive remarks about gay people before. She's also had Carson from Queer Eye co-host with her before.

I agree completely Hotguy especially about the Rosie part. She is like quite a few people that I know also where everything is about either gay straight or bi. Well let me tell the world that I may be gay, but my sexuality does NOT define my entire being.

I think Kelly was very rude to him in the beginning and I think Clay was trying to take up for himself and it just got out of hand. She was making fun of him in the beginning. I think Kelly is an ass. She has put her hand on Regis mouth just like Clay did to her. She is a stupid fish. If he isn't gay already, I am sure she turned him gay

I'm sorry but IMO, Kelly reeks of someone who thinks her shit comes out in plastic bags. She's obviously started to believe her own publicity and thinks she is some major star or something. Face it Kelly, you may be making a ton of money now, but gals like you are a dime a dozen and not too many years from now no one in America will even remember your name.

I don't exactly think Kelly Ripa will be reading this board either... unless you're reaching out to Clay and hoping he'll read it.

i completely agree with this.

i also think it's hilarious how, in calling Kelly out, Rosie ends up tacitly "out-ing" Clay Gay-ken.

Gayken should be mad at Rosie for bringing even more public attention (not to mention countless posts on message boards like this one) to the fact that he's one Big Nelly Fag.
