Kreacher Jewish?

For Harry Potter fans, when you watched "OOTP" did you get the sense that Kreacher the house elf was a stereotypical jew? He has a hook nose, nasal voice, and is dressed in rags like jews wore at the camps. Seemed pretty obvious to me.

if u read the books, u would know where the outfit and the attitude came from. they all represent something in the lifestyle of the house elf. if u look for insult u
can ALWAYS find it, even if u manufacture it in your own mind.

I was not looking for insult or anything else. It just struck me as soon as I saw Kreacher. Dobby, for example, was not similarly designed.

And yet Dobby and Kreacher exist in the exact same situation. The only reason why Dobby looks different is because he's been freed.

Kreacher is your standard house elf--miserably treated, forced to wear items for clothing that are not actually clothes and he's supposed to be miserable and resentful of the Order in his mistress's house.

I never saw him as some 'Jew' stereotype. I agree that it's an odd association to make...

Speaking of menoras, Kreacher was also "secreting" valuable objects such as the locket and silver candlesticks just as jews did during WWII. I am not saying that Rowling made Kreacher that way, just that the artists made Kreacher that way for the movie. All one has to do is compare Kreacher to some of the jewish caricatures that appeared in Russia and Europe in the 18th and 19th centuries.

but the artist didnt make him that way. i doubt they had a jewish person in mind when the drew Kreacher. Hell, no one did, it seems only you jumped to this conclusion in your brain. How I have absolutely no idea. They simply recreated what JK described Kreacher to be in the book.

Um, have you read the books? He's keeping the valuables of the House 'safe' from those he feels do not deserve to be in his Mistress' home.

And to be honest, how Kreacher looks in the film is basically how I figured he'd look. He's a miserable, abused house-elf. Having a long droopy nose adds to his pathetic persona.

Again, I think you're looking too much into things. What exactly is your point? That the movie producers/artists wanted to make a statement against Jews? That they're anti-Semitic?
