Kylie Minogue Appreciation Thread

My BF is a huge Kylie fan and he dragged me to the opening night of her original showgirl tour in Glasgow, after being told how wonderful it would be and that i would not regret it. Needless to say it was terrific, the whole audience were on their feet throughout the show, she made the show personal to the audience that night just through commenting on the things that were happening in the city that night and also interacted with the audience more than i can recall any other act doing.

It was in fact so good i went back to see her in manchester last year, my Boyfriend is very proud of the fact he went to the Opening night of the showgirl tour and the closing night of the relaunch tour in manchester (the show which was rescheduled after kylie had to call off an earlier show halfway through as her throat affected her voice).

A couple of things on that probably signify the reason why she is appreciated so much. The night that the show was cancelled halfway through, kyle tried so hard to carry on and only gave up on continuing the show after she had basically exahusted herself trying. The rescheduled show was a resounding success adn again the humour that Kylie has was reflected in the merchadise on sale that night ..... T-shirts emblazoned with "Kylie Minogue Showgirl tour - it's a show and a half"

Kylie despite her fame and fortune is one of those celebraties that you would struggle to find anyone with a bad word to say about her, which is in modern day an admiral thing in itself.

BTW - i love put yourself in my place!

You can sense that Kylie truly is down-to-earth and unselfish and that's why so many people root for her success...Kylie isn't some uppity, "two-faced" diva who's ever pretended to be "girl next door" because she really is "girl next door". She doesn't manipulate her fans pretending to be someone else because it's very important for her to respect her fans by being true to herself, something a scarey diva wouldn't do.
