I've decided that I'm going to get laser hair removal.

On my chest, stomach, and arms and butt.

I'm so hairy and I hate it. It's such a big issue for me.

The thing is I just know Im going to be sooo embarassed when I call/have appointment / get it done.

I'm only 20 and I'm worried about what they are going to think.

But i know i'll be soo much more happier/confident when its done.

Dont worry about it, I'm sure if they are in this business, they have seen it all and could care less on who you are or why you are having it done. I wish there was a place around where I live that did it, I would have my back done in a heart beat.

Nah, they aren't going to think any different of you than any other customer. Bet your going to look great afterwards.

and many probably would say you're looking better now :)
anyway - it is your decision - the removal people will treat you as they treat everyone else. it's their job, and they have seen it all already. just remember - it's permanent.

I used to be embarrassed when I started getting waxed. Then I figure, it's their job and if they want to judge me for being hairy, then they should get a new job. As long as you are happy afterward, that's all that matters.

It may or not be permanent depending on different factors, the most important being the colour of your hair and skin, dark hair and white skin being the most successful.

I'm blond with light skin and have had 3 treatments on my back and chest and I don't notice any difference.

laser hair removal targets the root of a hair inside the follicle and basically insinerates it!
how long it lasts varies from person to person and as has been said, if you have fair hair and a fair complexion you may not notice a differance, dark hair on fair skin will show up as most successful, but will be the most noticable when it grows back.

and as for being judged, as someone said, its their job! and what are the chances of you ever seeing this person again anyway?

if you know you'll feel better afterwards, bite the bullet and go, they will do everything they can to make you feel comfortable and i garauntee you wont be the first guy they meet with a little more hair than most....if you were a girl it'd be a differant story hehe :D

i love hairy chests (but not backs) can you post a pic before you do it lol
