It's a joke, laugh and enjoy

After I started learning to speak (real) Chinese I became super sensitive about this sort of stuff because it is "racist". I got over it - it's all in good fun and pretty benign.

I don't think plays on words are ethnically offensive. If the joke is about sterotyping, or condemning people and their culture then it's abhorent but this was just an amusing pseudo-translation of expressions in a humorous way.
I think we know mean spirited humor when we see it.
