So Liz Phair has a new album soon her sixth. It’s her first album on her new label and with the recent re-release of Exile they seem to be really pushing a return to her old sound. Is it to good to be true? She has been quoted as saying this is the first time she has felt inspired since Guyville.

Hot White Cum is cute but not that good in my eyes. I guess it was her screw you too Capitol trying to make her pop and making her hire The Matrix. Her sexual attitude seemed really in your face and off in that song as to oppose how perfectly it works on songs like Chop Sticks and Flower.

well i hate "liz Phair" (the album) with a passion. Otherwise I love her. Guyville and Whip-smart are both AMAZING albums. as for WCSE and Somebody's miracle i thought they were okay. I really hope she pulls a 360 with this new one. Seriously though "why can't I" and "Extraordinary" are soooooo bad.

well i hate "liz Phair" (the album) with a passion. Otherwise I love her. Guyville and Whip-smart are both AMAZING albums. as for WCSE and Somebody's miracle i thought they were okay. I really hope she pulls a 360 with this new one. Seriously though "why can't I" and "Extraordinary" are soooooo bad.

"Favorite" is by far one of the worst Liz songs if they droped that "Take A Look","It's Sweet" and "Love/Hate" and replaced them with the stuff on Comeandgetit EP the album would be pretty good. I really like "Red Light Fever", "Good Love Never Dies" & "Little Digger" coupled with "Bouncer's Conversation" & "Jeremy Engle" would have been cool.

I think WCSE is as pop as I can take my Liz, really like that album and I like SM its an older record for sure but I think the songs are great.

Yeah i thought comeandgetit was decent but it was just not the same liz Phair that did Whip-smart or Guyville. It seemed like she lost her nack for writting such great lyrics or held back. I thought they were better on SM but I hope she backs off the extremely poppy stuff. And act her age rather than like Avril Lavigne.

But "Liz Phair" was a whole grown up album ago. SM is the most grown up albums she has done sound wise its very adult comp.

True but it lacked the power of songs like "Fuck and Run", "Divorce Song" or "Polyester Bride" in my humble opinion. It had good tracks but it was a rather dull album.

I agree with it's not very intresting but all the songs are pleasent in my eyes and its not near as annoying sounding as LP. Im really hoping all this returning to her roots is not PR bullshit.

i hope she can mix her new adult contemp with her old witticisms i think it could be great. then again we could get Liz Phair tries to be Avril's mom!

See I pesonaly think she did it with "Bouncer's Conversation" & "Jeremy Engle" . Have you heard to new song she has been going live (do no think it has a name yet). It's WCSE sounding to me who know how it will sound stuido though.

I always find it hard to judge new songs through from low quality live video but it gives you an idea.
