Long Ago Hobby

Today I rummaged around old storage and found a light cedar case with my initials on the right hand side. It was a carrier for my art class brushes and inks that I had forgotten about for so long. I had not painted since my last year of highschool and to hold a fine bristled brush in hand above a crisp white plain was a fond return to my student days.

I am out of practice but happy to find painting to be like bicycle riding. I never lost my ability; It was just obscured, by a closet full of other sleeping memories.
