If the media ignored them would that stop their protests? No.

Usually they claim that their protests are linked to some specific event, but I saw nothing to suggest their protest in Long Beach was anything more than random. I really doubt that.

Did the school just recently start a GLBT student organization or something?

They protest more than just GLBT stuff. Pretty much anything that doesn't fit their views, which is most things.

Pretty low they're going to lengths such as protesting at high schools where kids are. They're really drawing straws.

It just gets them more attention.
