You're not alone. I'm with you on that one. I love oral. I could suck all day. Anal always seems like a chore and usually I end up doing it just to please my partner.

There is nothing etched in stone that says you have to like anal sex. If you don't like it, then you don't. It doesn't make you less gay or Bi or whatever. It is simply a non-preference for a particular sexual pratice. I think our likes and dislikes for certain sexual practices changes over time. There are some sexual practices that I don't care for but that's me. To each his own. Whatever floats your boat!

Dude: It's all a matter of preferrence. That's one of the (many) great things about gay life, you don't have to follow a prescribed path. I, for one, always fast forward through the oral to get to the anal. Different Strokes...

People have questioned my numbers enough that I'm questioning them myself. But years ago, I saw a study (in two different but reliable places) that roughly half of gay men "rarely" or "never" engage in anal sex. This shocked me, as I thought that anal was a prerequisite for homosexuality. (I guess I took the term "buttfucker" a bit too literally.)

Whatever the numbers, the fact remains that there are many guys who either don't do anal at all, or are just happy doing other things. It may be that you meet up with a guy where you not doing anal is a dealbreaker. In that event, you'll have a decision to make, I guess. But know that there are plenty guys out there who don't feel it's necessary.

I've tried anal, both giving and receiving, and must admit that, at first, I really didn't catch on to what the "big deal" about it was. However, due to my "natural curiosity", continued to give it a try, now and then, over the years. I learned that it takes practice to become "good" at it, either way.

Though I can understand how many guys truly get "into" it (yeah! pun intended!), it never became a "central thing" for me. Now I only do that on Very Rare occasions.

Luckily, "My" Kev feels the same way about it that I do. Through our 26yr. together, we may have only done that a grand total of a dozen times. Since that averages out to about once every two years ... time must be coming up to try it again! I'm wondering who might "win" the "coin toss" this time!

Contrary to popular opinion, "Gay" does not necessarily equate to anal sex!

It's your preference, but it's all about experience and doing it right. I actually prefer anal than oral. Giving head isn't always enjoyable for me. I don't like precum or semen or foreskin. But it's all about trying and making it work for you.
