It's hard, but let's face it: we have seen it coming! Apple just announced it will delay it's next major release of Mac OS X named "Leopard". First planed in June, "Leopard" will now be released in OCTOBER!

For the second time in my life, I am MAD with Apple.

1. All the Vista bashing for being delayed. At least, MS didn't hide the truth from the customers.

2. The reason. Just as the guys at betanews point it out, Apple can't face the truth. The iPhone? Come on! Apple hasn't been able to add all the futures plus stability to the previews of "Leopard", as seen in the preview releases thou far. It isn't the iPhone, it's you engineers, stupid!

Highly disagree. The complexities involved in developing the iPhone are immense. Apple is being as forthcoming as is most likely possible in announcing the delay. Calm yourself - Tiger is just about two years old. XP was around for more than twice that long!

I'm disappointed because I skipped the iLife 06 and am looking forward to 07. They have been coming out with a steady stream of popular products for a while now, so I would rather they wait till it's all ready. I think they are going to offer touch across the board (new touch screen imacs I'm hopen:rolleyes: ) I think X.5 is going to be worth waiting a few months longer for.

I can wait a few months for Leopard. Hopefully they'll have most of the bugs worked out. Tiger is still way ahead of Vista. I look forward to upgrading to Leopard.

I completely agree, a bit disappointing, but I can wait.

well but i don't remember microsoft saying haha you lame apple guys, come on you can take our developers maybe it will help you to get your OS ready faster, you'll be late anyway - which is what apple did ;)

(i don't like ms either, but that move was self-ownage)

What are we actually getting in this release that warrants a charge? I'm not paying a dime for the new ability to create your own widgets, or for the "core animations" described on the apple site.

As it is right now, I don't see much in Leopard at all.

That's the big question. There are this "top-secrete" features Jobs talked about. No one knows more, but rumors are talking about a new user interface called "illumines", a possible 3D Finder and more. Well... we'll see
