Mac Users - MS Office 2008 vs iWork 08 -

Why the fuck would I want to use it? I still use Appleworks and it will save as a windoze doc should the occasion arise.

How can you continually say something is shit and yet have no basis for your comment other than 1 bad lot of comments from people who like yourself may or may not have even tried it

you are a fool of the highest order i try and actually help people and you just spout nonsense based on fanboy comments on amazon

C'mon you don't even have a Mac so why are you commenting on Mac Office vs iWork? Mac Office is completely different to Windows Office. Have you even used any of them?

Before calling people fool's why don't you try both Mac Office and iWork yourself?

Back to the topic. I currently have iWork 08 and Office 2004. I find iWork does everything I need it to and it's fast and reliable. As said before, Keynote just owns Powerpoint.

because i have read quite a number of articles on the pros and cons of iwork v office and thought that i would relay those here

if you want me to be exact in what i know about them then here it goes

Pages is good for word processing for most people i dont think it saves to docx but what does
it is easier to use but in simplifying things extra features have not been added for me no equation editor is a very big deal its something i have to use all the time but for joe blow its not needed

numbers is apparently very basic compared to excel and since i need all the calculating power in excel numbers would not be good for me

i dont really use powerpoint alot but the new version of it in office 2007 is much improved and the videos i have seen for 2008 show impressive results with little effort i dont know about keynote so cant say either way

so yea i think i have a right to have an opinion and i believe that i am very informed and just because i dont use a mac dosent mean i have no fucking idea

mac users are a bunch of condescending pricks and this thread proves it :grrr:

a messenger who basis for his opinion is office 2004 and has not used 2008 i am sure microsoft will have a trial version for download like 2007 up soon so why dont you hold you judgments until you actually use it
